Elspeth Haswell-Smith 

  • CEO

    An agile and experienced Director and Founder of Well Life Services, Elspeth Haswell-Smith has extensive knowledge across compliance, quality service provision and risk management in culturally diverse settings. Her clients, staff, and colleagues value her as a robust analytical thinker that identifies, manages and mitigates risks at the strategic level.


    Basing herself in Toowoomba in 2006 and spending her early professional career focused on working in community-based human services. Over the past 22 years, Elspeth has facilitated strategic change for clients, including commercial enterprises, leading for-profit organisations and more recently qualified as a psychologist. Elspeth holds an ongoing commitment to continuous education and personal development.


    With her knowledge across commercial, community and government landscapes, Elspeth has been a leader whose vision, wisdom and compassion has been evidenced as an advisor and mentor to business owners, colleagues, senior staff, key business partners with a focus on collaboration and developing growth strategies in a planned cohesive manner. 


    Elspeth is acknowledged as a leader across the disability sector in Queensland. She has specialist knowledge of the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS), National Injury Insurance Scheme (NIISQ) and the Department of Child Safety, Seniors and Disability Services and the impact of sound strategic, financial and compliance management for disability support services.

    Holly graduated from Southern Cross University in 2015 with a Bachelor of Occupational Therapy and has enjoyed gaining experience in Occupational Rehabilitation and Aged Care since. 


    Holly is passionate about seeing people live their lives to their full potential and to engage in their environments with ease and enjoyment. She loves to see and to be involved in the improvement of lives for the individual to thrive. 


    Holly has particular interest in life skills across the life span and in promoting engagement in people’s everyday occupations – not just their jobs.

    Donna is a dedicated and experienced social care professional with a passion for helping individuals and communities. With a Diploma in Community Services, Donna has gained extensive knowledge and skills providing her with a strong foundation in Social Work principles and practices.


    Her diploma in Child and Adult Social Care has further enhanced her expertise in this field, equipping her with the necessary knowledge to work with individuals of all ages and backgrounds.


    Donna is a compassionate and empathetic individual who approaches her work with a client-centered focus, always striving to create positive outcomes for those she serves. Her dedication to her clients and her ability to navigate complex social systems proves her passion for social justice and her dedication to improving the lives of others.



Cath Dormer


  • Operations Manager Care Coordination

    Cath is a skilled communicator and adept problem solver who excels in cultivating valuable business connections. Her dynamic and enthusiastic nature defines her role as a dedicated Community Services professional. With an unwavering passion for assisting others, she remains devoted to continuous growth and learning.


    In her capacity as Operations Manager, Cath assumes the vital responsibility of supervising and steering the day-to-day functions of Well Life Services' Care Coordination team. This involves ensuring the fulfillment of all client requisites while optimising the efficiency of service delivery. Her profound commitment to effecting positive change in clients' lives and the community at large drives her, as she persistently pursues the highest standards of care provision.


Katrina Stirling

  • Finance Manager

    Katrina is seasoned finance professional with a passion for numbers and a heart for the Disability and Care industry. With a career spanning over a decade, she embarked on her financial journey in 2008 and eventually found her true calling within the sector in 2014.


    Katrina's love for the world of finance is palpable in her every endeavor. With an innate affinity for numbers, she thrives on crunching data, analyzing trends, and making sense of complex financial landscapes. Her meticulous attention to detail and analytical mindset have not only been the driving forces behind her success but have also allowed her to navigate the dynamic and ever-evolving realm of finance with finesse.


    Beyond her professional pursuits, Katrina's passions extend to the Disability and Care industry. She is wholeheartedly committed to making a positive impact on the lives of those in need, demonstrating a genuine empathy and understanding that shines through in her work. This unique blend of financial acumen and compassionate dedication sets her apart as a true advocate for creating meaningful change within the sector.

    With over two decades dedicated to accredited training, Fiona brings a wealth of experience to her role as a Training Coordinator. 

    Her journey has been woven within the tapestry of community services, including aged care, mental health, and disability support. Fiona possesses a unique gift for effective communication across various mediums, allowing her to connect with individuals on a personal level. 


    Her natural inclination towards finding solutions has been a guiding force throughout her career, fostering an environment of collaborative problem-solving. 

    In the realm of community services, Fiona's focus extends beyond conventional training roles. She takes pride in matching individuals with training programs tailored to their skills, nurturing personalized career pathways. 


    Outside of her professional endeavours, Fiona finds joy in the transformative process of creating and renovating. This love for crafting extends beyond her work, reflecting her ability to bring freshness and innovation to every project.

    With over 10 years of experience in medical administration and transferable skills from different careers including human resource experience, Emma is not only professional but also possesses a genuine, personable approach. 


    Her Diploma of Arts in Social Justice reflects a profound understanding of societal dynamics and a strong moral conscience, making her just and fair in her interactions. 


    Emma excels in communication, advocacy, and problem-solving, ensuring that clients receive the best possible care while building meaningful relationships and understanding their unique needs.

    Manisha is a highly skilled and experienced care coordinator in the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) industry. With a background in healthcare and social work, Manisha has developed a deep understanding of the needs and challenges faced by individuals with disabilities and their families. 


    As a care coordinator, Manisha works closely with NDIS participants and their families to develop and implement personalized care plans that meet their unique needs and goals. She is highly knowledgeable about the various services and supports available through the NDIS and is committed to helping her clients access the resources they need to live full and meaningful lives. 

Shalia Grimes

    Shalia is a dedicated and passionate professional with a Certificate 3 in Individual Support and a strong commitment to providing the best possible care to clients. Her experience and expertise in the field, combined with her leadership skills enable her to achieve the best outcomes for clients and to deliver services that are reflective of the Well Life Services mission, vision, and values.


    Shalia provides ongoing coaching and support to team members, helping them to develop their skills and reach their full potential, being a natural leader she is able to inspire and motivate her team to deliver exceptional results.

    With a Bachelor of Psychology and a Cert 4 in Nursing, Ashlee has a deep understanding of the complex mental and physical health issues that many clients face. Her education has equipped her with the tools to identify and address these issues, and to provide compassionate care to those in need.


    Ashlee is particularly interested in positive development across the lifespan, believing that empowerment should be an everyday goal and is truly passionate about helping clients achieve their full potential.

Larissa Dempsey

  • Care Coordinator

    Larissa is a dedicated professional with 16 years of experience in the Disability sector, coupled with a strong foundation in Aged Care. Her journey in this field has been a remarkable one, with a focus on enriching the lives of those she serves.


    Throughout her career, Larissa has held various roles, including Disability Support Worker (DSW), Senior DSW, Program Coordinator, and Program Manager. Her expertise doesn't stop there – she has honed her leadership skills through training and practice, making her an effective team leader and manager.


    Larissa's experience extends to working with Mental Health clients and individuals with challenging behaviours. She holds a Certificate IV in Mental Health, equipped with first aid mental health training, and a Certificate III in Disability. She has also achieved an Advanced Diploma in Community Sector Management, demonstrating her commitment to continuous growth and development.


    One of Larissa's standout qualities is her creative thinking. She approaches her work with innovation, always searching for new ways to empower individuals to live their best lives. Her compassionate and empathetic approach ensures that she is not only a professional but an ally to those she supports.


    Larissa firmly believes in a person-cantered approach, where the individual's unique needs and aspirations are at the heart of the care and support she provides. She is passionate about making a positive impact and is committed to helping others achieve their highest potential.



Mike Dormer Well Life Services Support Coordinator

Tina Fourie

  • Counsellor

    Tina is dedicated, creative, and passionate. She is a registered and qualified counsellor who is always thinking outside the box for her clients to deliver unique, individualised therapy.


    Her background includes a Bachelor of Theology, Master of Youth Ministry and a Master of Counselling, with further studies in Play and Art Therapy. 


    She is currently avaiable for Tele-Health Services (via Zoom, Phone or Teams)


    Tina’s foundation is built on trauma-informed care and her passion is expressive therapies and youth counselling. With experience in school settings as a Student Counsellor and further experience working with families, Tina enjoys working with all age groups. 

Amaya Chandrasiri

  • Provisional Psychologist

    Amaya is a highly motivated, caring and creative professional with extensive experience delivering evidence based therapeutic support for children. Her gentle and open nature supports her unique ability to quickly connect with her clients and establish trusting relationships. 


    Amaya’s background includes a Bachelor of Psychology from the Missouri University of Science and Technology, a Bachelor of Applied Science, Psychology Honours from RMIT University in Melbourne as well as a master’s degree in Counselling from the University of Queensland. Amaya has also gone on to complete further studies in Play and Creative Therapies and is currently completing her Provisional Psychology qualification.

Lauren Sykes

  • Social Worker and Counsellor

    Lauren graduated with honours from her Bachelor of Social Work and has provided case management, specialised support and family related services to complex clients and their families for over 5 years.  


    Lauren is passionate about working from a person-centred perspective which keeps the needs of the clients and their families at the centre of all she does. She has seen clients excel and make positive change due to the quality support provided, as it is tailored to meet their specific needs and helps them reach their personal goals.   


    Being part of a team that helps clients thrive, feel empowered and achieve their goals is the reason she works in this role and with the Well Life Services team.

Anisia Glover

  • Occupational Therapist

    Anisia is a caring, compassionate, and creative Occupational Therapist with experience in community and inpatient mental health services, disability support, and a passion for supporting young people. Anisia is a mum of four children which has fuelled her interest in working with children and their families to help them develop the skills they need to achieve their goals.


    Anisia’s background includes a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and a Bachelor of Exercise Science from Griffith University as well as a Master of Occupational Therapy Studies from The University of Queensland. Anisia has also completed further training in Sensory Modulation and DIRFloortime® which supports the work she does with her clients.


    In her spare time, Anisia loves spending time with her family, cooking delicious food, creative sewing endeavours, and bike riding around the gorgeous city of Toowoomba.


Nerida Baston

  • Specialist Support Coordinator

    Nerida has been working in various capacities within the Disability Sector for the last 18 years. She has provided specialised support for complex needs to clients and their families from a person-centred framework. She has a particular interest in profound/severe, nonverbal impairments and the positive impact of effective communications such as Intensive Interaction.


    Nerida has a strong, core belief in building a client focused circle of support to form, promote and support the goals/needs of the participant, with an underpinning philosophy of care that includes the promotion of rights, advocacy and empowerment.


    Nerida has a Bachelor of Human Services and a Certificate 4 in Disability and is thrilled to be a part of a team that works together with participants, their families and therapists /support network to achieve goals and promote autonomy.

    Jo is a dedicated and highly skilled Specialist Support Coordinator with a passion for helping individuals overcome challenges and achieve their goals. With several years of experience in the field she has developed a deep understanding of the unique needs and requirements of individuals requiring specialized support.


     Jo's expertise lies in coordinating and managing support services for individuals with various disabilities, mental health conditions, or other complex needs. She possesses a comprehensive knowledge of available resources, funding options, and community programs, allowing her to tailor support plans that maximize independence and well-being for her clients.


     Furthermore, Jo has a passion for working with children, with hands on experience working with children in care and those accessing the NDIS under Early Childhood Early Intervention (ECEI) programs.

Ashleigh Smith

    With a decade of experience in the human services sector, Ashleigh has been dedicated to delivering a range of supports, including mainstream, mental health, and disability services within the community. Her profound understanding of the NDIS sector is not only professional but also personal, as she is a parent to a child with a Moderate Intellectual disability and ASD who benefits from NDIS assistance.


    Ashleigh's commitment extends beyond her professional responsibilities. She is deeply passionate about guiding participants and their families through the intricacies of their NDIS plans, ensuring they fully comprehend and optimize the benefits available. 

    As a fervent advocate, Ashleigh champions the needs and rights of her participants, embodying a compassionate and dedicated approach to her work.



Carly Smith

  • Specialist Support Coordinator

    Carly is a Specialist Support Coordinator with a distinguished career spanning two decades in the Nursing and Disability sectors. Possessing a Diploma in Nursing, she has cultivated expertise in Acquired Brain Injuries, quadriplegic care, Indigenous Health, as well as Acute, Mental Health, and Psych Nursing.


    Over the past five years, Carly has dedicated herself to the NDIS field, showcasing a particular commitment to assisting individuals in rural and remote areas. Growing up on farms in country Victoria has provided her with a profound understanding of the unique challenges faced by these communities.


    Carly's professional philosophy centers around an empathetic and holistic approach when working with participants, aimed at achieving optimal outcomes for both participants and their families. A standout moment in her career includes working remotely in the nursing and disability sector in Darwin.


    Drawing from lived experience as a family member supporting a loved one with a disability, Carly's passion is further fueled by personal connections. Her professional demeanor is characterized by trustworthiness and a capacity to easily build rapport with individuals. As a person of integrity, Carly's honesty and relatability contribute to the establishment of meaningful connections with her participants.

Beth Griffiths

  • Support Coordinator

    Beth is a highly passionate person who started out in the Disability and Mental Health field as a Support Worker over a decade ago. She has been able to build her skills and undertake training to progress her knowledge throughout various roles. These skills have been transferrable and give her a unique perspective as a Support Coordinator. 

    Her comprehensive knowledge ranges from Support Worker, Roster Coordinator, Customer Service Officer, and Program Coordinator. 


    Understanding the fundamentals of a quality support service, Beth understands that providing quality care can come from the very first phone call and her purpose is to ensure that this quality of service is delivered to all participants that she supports.


    Her expertise and passion are within the Mental Health field, those who present with challenging behaviours and complex needs. She has seen firsthand how the right supports can change a person’s life for the better, and this is what drives her. Beth is a compassionate person and approaches every interaction with kindness and patience to foster trust and respect.


    Beth has a Certificate IV in Disability and is currently undertaking further study to increase her skills and knowledge.

Belinda Curtin

    Belinda is a dedicated and compassionate Support Coordinator with a strong background in providing assistance and guidance to individuals in need. With her empathetic nature and exceptional organizational skills, she strives to make a positive impact in the lives of those she supports.


    As a Support Coordinator, Belinda excels in building strong relationships with her clients, fostering an environment of trust and open communication. She takes the time to listen attentively to their concerns, challenges, and aspirations, ensuring that their voices are heard and their needs are met. Belinda approaches every interaction with kindness, patience, and respect, always striving to make individuals feel valued and supported.

Kate Vergunst

  • Specialist Support Coordinator

    Kate possesses almost a decade of experience within the human services sector, showcasing a diverse skill set in trauma-informed care, youth work, human resources, and case management. Her close collaboration with child safety services has led her to specialize in aiding vulnerable young individuals.


    Academically, Kate holds an Associate Degree in Human Services, complemented by minors in Human Resource Management and Children and Family Services. Currently, she is pursuing accreditations in Holistic Counselling and Yoga Teaching, while also boasting a track record in organizing detox and breathwork retreats.


    Over the past three years, Kate's involvement in women's circles via workshops and retreats has been prominent. She has been dedicated to aiding women of all ages in their journeys of inner healing, systemic healing, and the pursuit of wholesome lifestyles.


    Having undergone TCI training and acquiring comprehensive knowledge of Child Safety, Kate's background includes extensive experience in Residential care and case management for foster and kinship agencies. This melding of professional history, coupled with her human services and human resources background, along with a holistic therapeutic approach, culminates in her distinctive method of Specialist Support Coordination.


    Beyond her professional endeavors, Kate also thrives as a single parent raising two wonderful children. Her love for the outdoors and skill in playing the guitar further enrich her multifaceted personality.

Garth Bolitho

  • Human Resources Coordinator

    Garth holds a Bachelor of Business degree and brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise to the workplace. He places a high value on active listening and seeks feedback and ideas from staff to better understand their needs and motivations.


    Garth understands what motivates and encourages his colleagues and is skilled in providing support and guidance to help them achieve their goals.


    As an advisor, Garth communicates transparently and acts as a positive role model who values the opinions of others when discussing matters. He has strong attention to detail and the ability to coordinate and prioritize multiple tasks at once. Garth is an effective communicator, both written and verbal, and enjoys working collaboratively with his colleagues to achieve quality outcomes for the business.


Meng Lees

  • HR Business Partner

    Meng is a skilled professional with a Bachelor of Business degree and extensive experience in Allied Health administration. With a keen eye for detail and a deep respect for systems and procedures, Meng is known for her ability to effectively manage complex tasks with ease and efficiency. Meng is currently retraining to be a counsellor and aims to use her strengths to assist people in overcoming their life challenges, working towards living more joyful and fulfilling lives.


    One of Meng's greatest strengths is her unwavering commitment to inclusivity, collaboration, and participation. Meng firmly believes that the best results are achieved when everyone works together towards a common cause, and she is always willing to lend a hand or offer guidance whenever needed.


    Throughout her career, Meng has demonstrated a passion for improving the lives of others through her work in healthcare administration. She understands the critical role that systems and procedures play in delivering high-quality care, and is dedicated to ensuring that these systems are always operating at peak efficiency.
